Lin Daye is one of the finest of the new generation of conductors in China.
He was officially appointed as Music Director and Chief Conductor of Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra on June 1st 2016. He commenced his duties there on September 1st that same year, and has already conducted many important projects and programmes on their home series, including Mahler Symphony No 2 “Resurrection” and Verdi’s great opera “Aida” in concert, as well as taking the orchestra on several international and national tours, including performances at the Beijing Music Festival in 2016 and 2017, and to Italy and most recently Germany.
